WA IS WATER

Explore Washington State in poems, photos and facts with me!
WA IS WATER: An Intimate Portrait is a Tacoma grant-funded project (TAIP). It took two years of writing, research and road trips to complete, taking readers on a journey deep within Washington's foggy forests, cranberry bogs and nature preserves through poetry and travel essays covering history, geology, geography and more.
48 poems and 103 full-color photos mingle with nonfiction and water-related facts about the wet and wild state.
What People Are Saying
Jennifer Chushcoff does a wonderful job synthesizing what the State of Washington is thru its relationship with its water. Rivers, snow, bays, lakes, rain: Washington is often a soggy corner of the world. The book doesn’t read cover to cover, but more like a coffee table book. So much so that I wish is that I had a larger hard back addition to have around the house. The photos are perfect and the layout is beautiful.
Nothing if not erudite, Chushcoff is a fine poet and even better photographer. I learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of this beautiful ecology lesson.
Gorgeous photos paired with language distilled, rather than diluted, to its essence.
