I took the pups for a walk this morning. It was gorgeous out and there was still a lot of fog in the Narrows. In our neighborhood there’s a vacant lot, which is the only spot of unspoiled nature within walking distance. It’s on a cliff, and one of the realtors that has tried selling it built a viewing platform. I decided to climb it and take a few photos with my phone.

The dogs tried to follow. That didn’t work out so well. I climbed down thinking I was finished and hiked back up the hill. That’s when nature slapped me in the face with beauty. The sun was coming out between the trees, highlighting the gorgeous fog. It was stunning. My photo doesn’t do justice to the moment. I just stood there, in awe, so thankful that I didn’t miss it.
