I’m super excited to be partnering with the NW Furniture Bank for their annual fundraiser, The Chair Affair. Local artists were asked to remake or create unique chairs for auction. I decided to assemble a nature hideout for kids, one that I would’ve loved to have. I call it –The EscapePod!
Ingredients: the chair/swing features an outer curtain for secrecy and camouflage, an inner curtain with pockets for holding important items like stuffed animals, finger puppets and a notepad, a battery-operated light in case your research goes late, machine washable pillow and cover and a giant leaf canopy to complete the look. All hardware, except for screws, is included, as well as a tether for mounting the pod over a tree branch outdoors.
The NW Furniture Bank is an amazing Tacoma organization that helps people find furniture as they transition to their own home. This is a great opportunity to help fund their work all year. The auction and dinner will be held April 1, 6-9PM.
There will be a live and silent auction where you’ll have a chance to bid on items like: 24 hour Lamborghini & Deluxe Overnight for two Mayflower Park Hotel, Dinner Yacht Cruise for 8, Fishing trip adventure, Museum of Glass Chair.
Hope to see you there! Purchase tickets through this link: http://www.nwfurniturebank.org/2016-chair-affair
