Many years ago, I pitched the idea of creating a snowflake pop-up to Jumping Jack Press. I couldn’t believe one didn’t already exist!
They loved the idea and had their paper engineer, Yevgenia Yeretskaya, create beautiful illustrations for my story.
Snowflake Bentley, the first person to photograph a snowflake, and the research of Caltech physicist, Kenneth Libbrecht, were huge inspirations. They continue to inspire more work. There are just so many amazing things about snowflakes!
