The Gifting Tree
For my Halloween party this year I dragged out and dusted a small tree from storage and decorated it with handmade collaged glass ornaments, which were available for sale with proceeds going to the Tacoma Rescue Mission.
I call it, ‘The Gifting Tree’ and love it because it’s one gift with twice the giving -a wonderful way to bring a little sparkle into people’s lives! I plan on making it a tradition.
Do you have an upcoming party or a church/workplace that would allow a ‘Gifting Tree’? It’s getting cold outside and many will be in need of shelter and food. It’s a great time to create handmade crafts, so get the kids involved and make your very own Gifting Tree!
BTW: the paper ornaments were from the scrapbooking section of Artco Crafts. They’re made with thick cardstock, which I hole punched and strung with ribbon.
